Tool point#
A tool point is a predetermined point on a tool used as an origin for reference calculations. For regular excavator buckets, there are right, center, and left tool points.
The active tool point is the one currently being used for referencing vertical and horizontal distances. Only one tool point can be active at once and can be cycled with the Change active tool point action button.
Height widgets
Some widgets will use tool points that are not necessarily active as reference origin. For instance, the cut-fill widgets have versions that always track the left, right, or center tool points respectively, regardless of which tool point is currently active.
